Hi everyone,
Welcome to Day 7 of our 12 Days Of Christmas celebration!
Today we are giving away … 1 mannequin dress form, sized precisely for an American Girl ® Doll, to one lucky winner. This is so cute and perfect for displaying some of your favorite outfits! This is a new pattern project that I’m currently working on. We hope to have the pattern available to you all in the next week or so.
This would make any AG Doll Happy! And would make a fantastic Christmas present!

My favorite fashion trend is the hooded sweatshirt. There is nothing better than wearing a hoodie and I can’t wait for fall, winter, and spring when I can wear hoodies every day if I want.

My favorite fashion era is the late 1940s- 1950s because all the fashion from that time are so classic. So many of the styles from that time are iconic and still echoed in today’s clothing. I love the 1950s silhouette and how everything was so sophisticated. Even if one was just hanging out with friends or grocery shopping, one had to look put together!

Mine was the 1800′s because they wore amazing poufy dresses.

My favorite fashion era was the 70s, because that is when I grew up also. Jeans became with “bell bottoms” popular for girls to wear everyday, and maxi skirts were fun. I remember “angel wing” shirts and dresses, long and flowing..fond memories. Merry Christmas everyone.

My favourite fashion era… is definitely the 80′s! Some of the 80′s styles were terrible, but others (such as legwarmers, converse hightops, safety pins, 3/4 length tees, etc.) are fantastic!! I wear mostly 80′s style clothes nowadays. I also really like the 60′s for men, (especially the Beatles), suits and rock ‘n’ roll were a great combination

I love the Renaissance style/Jane Austen era clothing because they were so feminine and dainty.

My favorite trend is riding-styled clothes. From Victorian be-ribboned hats to modern riding (style)boots and flared jackets that (just like the 50′s style) flatter the actual female form, I love how they pair femininity with strength. And I like today’s culture, because you can wear anything!

My favourite fashion era is probably the late 50s & the 60s, maybe even into the early 70s. I love the tailoring that was really popular then, how things were fitted in some places, and then pouffy and/or flowing in others.

My favorite fashion era is the Victorian era, because I just think the styles from that period are super romantic. Sigh, high button boots, parasols, hats with feathers and veiling, petticoats, all those things make me want to wear them.
My favorite fashion era/trend is “the flapper” (because) I have a photo of my grandmother in a perfect flapper bob, and my mother taught me to dance the charleston. I love the cute hairstyles and the beaded dresses. Everyone was living it up without knowing what was coming next. Oh, yes, and the figures it took to wear those flapper dresses. Of course, they probably danced off the calories in all that gin. ^__^

My favorite trend is the sweater dress because you have the warmth and comfort of a sweater, yet it can be dressy when you add cute tights, boots, and a belt with it.

My favorite era right now is the Hawaiian style. I work with a local library that has an American Girl club once a month and this year we are working with Kanani. I sew for the girls and this one will be a fun year. Thanks for your patterns, they are amazing!

My favorite clothing era is the early 1900s. The little girls only wore dresses and pinafores. They looked adorable. Unfortunately, my granddaughter likes current fashions, so I make both sets of clothing for her, her cousin, and her friends.

I love the ’80s!!! I was a child in the ’80s and I love the bright colors and mismatched patterns. Legwarmers, leggings, tights, skirts, off the shoulder shirts, t-shirt slides, side pony-tails, crimped hair, bangle bracelets, and a tube of fabric that could be a belt, skirt or shirt! What’s not to love?!

My favorite fashion trend has been the evolution and acceptance of jeans as appropriate for women. I’m old enough to remember when dresses/skirts were mandatory for girls in school. Jeans are so liberating.

my favorite fashion era is prolly the 50′s/60′s, with all the pretty dresses, poodle skirts, button up shirts, sweaters, everything! I watch alot of older movies that my parents grew up with and I see alot of all the beautiful, colourful clothes and costumes.
I love Hats! A true outfit needs a stylish chapeau, bonnet, beret, boulder, cowboy, pillbox,… Oh I do love hats. (Even the Cat in the Hat)
I think a nice Aussie Bush Coat and a Crocodile Dundee Hat. Maybe I will have to work on this outfit.

Lately, my favorite fashion era is the early 70′s, the styles of my junior and senior high school years. It’s why I, a 55-year old woman, own an AG Julie doll. She is me! Long blonde hair, brown eyes, peasant tops, faded jeans and the exact platform sandals I owned. I remember poring over my big glossy Seventeen magazines – they were a delight – and I can still recall some of my favorite clothes like a suede fringe-y vest I longed for and over-the-knee highs.

My favorite fashion era/trend is the 50′s because the poodle skirts, jeans, white t-shirts, ect. were simple but fun clothing and it all looked like it would be so much fun.
I love the 20′s I love the short hair and flapper dresses. The feather hairbands (which are in style again!) I love the shoes! I love it all!

I think my favorite fashion era would be late 1950s early 1960s. Women’s clothing of that era was so feminine. For kids clothes though I would have to say the early 70s – probably because I grew up in denim and embroidered shirts :-).

My favorite fashion era/trend is the 70′s because not only was it my youth but the clothes spoke to the meaning of the time of the hippie. Everything was full of color, loosley fitted and on the edge. Using this era for a basis for designing for today lets my mind wander into color, bling and lots of fabric choices. Love it!!

My favorite fashion era was in the 1950′s because as a kid I remember my mother dressing to the hilt! She rarely left home without wearing a dress and heels. If they went to a party she dressed in beautiful party dresses that showed off her fantastic figure. I remember her in what was called a jump suit but she even had heels on when she wore that. Ladies were quite stylish at that time.
