Design Academy Exciting News…

Hi everyone,
I’ve got some exciting Design Academy news to share…Earlier this month I spent 3 hours with veteran designer Karin Pascho, discussing the Design Academy and plans for 2012.
If you’re not familiar with Karin, she is a veteran designer who joined Liberty Jane Clothing last year. She comes to us with 13 years of experience as a Senior Designer at Nordstrom’s. She worked in their Juniors Line and designed tons of stuff. It’s crazy, she can point out items in Nordstrom’s that she personally designed, (how cool is that!). Plus she has an undergraduate degree, as well as a graduate degree in fashion. A true master designer.
Anyway, I asked her if she’d be interested in joining me as an instructor if enrollment got over 25 students, and she said she’d love to. I didn’t want to announce it prematurely, but she’ll definitely be on the instructional team with me at this point. She’s really excited to work with you guys. I’m so happy with the patterns I’ve purchased! I had planned to wait till the next Design Academy but after thinking about it for at least 3 minutes I went ahead and signed up. Can’t wait to start.
If you have not taken the Design Academy, I urge you to give it a try. You’ll learn a lot! I found it to be a very inspiring experience. Anyone who wants to design clothes or wants to improve their skills will benefit.
It’s a great learning experience and a great deal!
