I agree:) I have turned the jean pattern into a trendy cargo pants.

  23. I would like Liberty Jane to offer Irish Dancing shoe pattern. I have made the dress which is spot on but now need to make shoe to complete the outfit.

  24. Lesley from NE /

I think it would be fun if Liberty Jane offered kits,to go with the patterns. You could buy just the pattern, or have the option of buying a kit with fabric yardage needed for the pattern, since the examples always have such neat fabric. A person would still have to cut out the pattern etc, but would then have the opportunity to use a fun fabric that might not be available where they are. =)

  25. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more beginner and easy patterns and a new sewing book just on how to make doll clothes

  26. Kathi Martin /

I’d like Liberty Jane to offer more period costumes as a pattern. They are so hard to find and very expensive if I do.

    • Mary Schreiber /

I think this is a great idea. I love the long dresses and puffy sleeves. I need you simple directions. Your designs always turn out great.

  27. I would like Liberty Jane to offer the pattern for the oscar gown that was recently showcased. And add to each pattern instructions on how to make the patterns slightly larger as sometimes the dolls are a little bit larger.

  28. I know your focus is on trendy clothes, but I’d love LJ to offer more historical clothing patterns, especially for Julie (I’ve been looking for a blouse with a jabot pattern in particular). When it comes to “today’s clothes” you’ve got the market cornered! :)

  29. I would like Liberty Jane to offer more nightgown patterns and maybe a raincoat pattern.

  30. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more cute bitty baby twin patterns as patterns for sale!

  31. Barbara Willis /

    Leggings as a pattern.

    • They already have leggings as a pattern! :)

    • Liberty Jane does have a leggings pattern! ^_^ It was an older pattern from about two years ago, it went with an oversize striped shirt, called the UK holiday top? One of the first patterns I did with my daughter.

  32. I would like to see Liberty Jane offer more patterns for nurses, fire fighters, western, and any other careers that they would like to have their dolls portray. My grd daughters love to dress as Little House on the Prarie. They have the dresses now they need doll babies clothes to match. Also boy dolls since little boys like to play with their sisters and have a character in their play times in boy clothes.

  33. Sophie T /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer winter gear (more coats, winter suits, winter clothes) as sewing patterns.

  34. cindi perron /

  37. margaret /

I would like to see a coat pattern that is lined and made by leaving an opening so it can be turned and that there are no seams visible on the inside.

  38. Shirley Watterson /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more accessories (purses, headbands, mittens, infinity scarves, etc) as sewing patterns.

  39. Mitzi Thornton /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a letter/varsity jacket as a pattern. I get a lot of requests for “school” items and this would fill a gap for me!

  40. June Troxel /

“I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer patterns for all the aution outfits they do not just some of them as a sewing pattern. I was looking through past designs and would love to make them.

  41. Roxanne /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer the patterns for sale wholesale so shops could offer them to customers and let others know and see the great patterns Liberty Jane has to offer. These are the only cute, trendy patterns available and it’s a shame they are only online.

  42. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer Converse tennis shoes as a physical product!

  43. I’d love to see Liberty Jane create a “cross body bag” as either a pattern, physical product, or both!

  44. Tracy M /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a book featuring 2-3 of each of your designs. Projects for beginning sewer to more advanced toward the end of your book. Simple to more advanced clothing/accessory projects. Crafters love to buy books! It would be a fun resource for sewing adults & girls dreaming with their dolls.

  45. I would love to see a pattern for a male Victorian Caroler! Also, I would like to see Liberty Jane offer more tutorial videos for some of the more challenging patterns, especially shoes.

  46. Marilyn /

I would love Liberty Jane offer nightgown and robe patterns.

  47. “I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer underwear as a sewing pattern.I think these would be just adorable!

  49. Heather K. /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more patterns for crocheted items!

  50. Martina /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer basic fitting patterns for comparing our other 18″ dolls to the AG doll.

  51. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more boy style clothes patterns. My boys need more clothes designed for them rather than ‘borrowing’ styles from the girls.

  52. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer a mix and match historical dress pattern, with different sleeve lengths/styles and different bodice/skirt options that would all fit together, so those of us with limited design experience could begin to develop more creativity in our use of patterns. There would also be a key of suggested combinations for different eras. It would be a PDF because I love being able to download and start projects instantly!

    • Mary Schreiber /

Great idea. Mix and match is always a great idea. To be able to make several dresses from one pattern,

  53. Little House on the Prairies clothes and easy to copy or download

  54. Gail Meucci /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more shoe styles and accessories.

  55. Phyllis /

I would love to see LJ offer more old fashioned type garment patterns, say from the 50′s or even older from the late 1890′s to the early 1900′s. Another wish would be for really basic patterns for my 7 year old gd who is just learning to sew.

  56. I’d love to see a hoodie pattern, but made with fabric instead of knit, but easier to put on than the American Girl ones.

  57. I would love to see liberty jane offer more dress patterns

  58. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more accessories and accessory tutorials and patterns for a “complete” doll universe! :)

  59. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more swimsuit patterns. A smooth v neck swimsuit and a one shoulder swimsuit.

  60. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a full length coat that would go down to the dolls ankle, and could be made with faux fur.

  61. Carol K /

I would like to see Liberty Jane offer more patterns for Best Friends Club Ink dolls.

  62. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a white winter puffer jacket with a fur trimmed hood as a physical product.

  63. I would like Liberty Jane to offer more bitty baby patterns,as great as the AG patterns are….the Bitty Baby’s would be spot on!

  64. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer panties and cami as a sewing pattern.

  65. I would love to see an historical style dress with pinafore and also more Hearts for Hearts doll patterns.

  66. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer matching girl & doll sewing patterns.

    • Yes! Most of the patterns available only go to size 6 and my granddaughter, size 10, is waiting for me to adapt patterns for both her & her dolls.

  67. Theresa /

I made an adorable halter dress for my daughter, and I would love to find a matching pattern for an AG doll. The halter tied around the neck and had an open back; it was easy to make and a great play dress.
That actually gives me another great idea…matching girl and doll patterns! Or maybe Liberty Jane could pair up with some existing pattern companies that make popular & trendy patterns for girls like Oliver + S or Sis Boom.

  68. Elizabeth Peake /

Perhaps some additional historical patterns and international dress / garb patterns.

  69. Heather /

I was initially thinking that I would love to see more outerwear patterns, but when I saw someone else post that they would like to see kits offered I had to agree I would love to get a kit with just the right notions and fabric that I might not beagle to get at my local chain store

  70. janet smith /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more complex hats as a sewing pattern. I would love to be able to make historical hats for my 18″ girls!

  71. valerie /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer their winning designs for their contest as outfits they sell. I would also love for them to offer combat boots.
    -Valerie

  72. Jocelyn /

  73. “I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer Princess dresses or costumes as a sewing pattern or physical product”

  74. While 16, not 18, inches I’d love to see liberty jane offer patterns for the disney animator collection toddler dolls. I’ve been working on making patterns of my own for those dolls but would love more options! :)

  75. cathy neal /

I would like to see more…bitty baby and twins patterns. also more dress patterns made with woven fabric, instead of the knit or silky fabrics.

  76. Charyle /

I would love to see more sandals for the up coming spring/summer collection. Great job you are all doing! love it. Charyle

  77. Dolly Walter /

I would like to see the patterns come with suggestions for making them fit slimmer dolls like kids and cats. I love the variation and styles that you have now but I am also interested in dressing my doll in 50′s little girl clothes because that is my era. I intend to pass my collection down to a great granddaughter.

  78. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more dressy wool coats with optional details (i.e., collars, pocket tabs, longer/shorter hems, etc.) as sewing patterns. I’m intrigued with all the gorgeous wool coats with different collars and fur trims I see on Pinterest and know that your patterns would be exquisite!

  79. I’d love to see liberty Jane offer more ready made dresses!

  80. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer the Jacket featured with the woomera dress on outback Libby as a sewing pattern.

  81. I’d love to see Libery Jane offer historical hat patterns with a variety of eras represented.

  82. AGTriviaMaster /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a button up cardigan pattern for knit fabric. I have seen ones you actually have to knit, but this new pattern would be for those of us who cannot knit.

    • Marilyn Clarkin /

I agree. This would be great. Variations would be great. A longer trendy one with front pockets or a shorter bolero style.

  83. I love the idea of the kits like someone suggested above. I would also like the kits to include the shoes as an optional item to match the outfit.

  84. lorene thornberry /

I would like to see Liberty Jane offer more costume patterns.

  85. I would like to see more shoe patterns.

  86. Marilyn Clarkin /

I know I left a reply, but I would like to see shoe patterns for the Maplelea doll for us Liberty Jane fans up North Eh!

  87. Kathleen /

I would love to see liberty jane offer patterns for more sports outfits.

  88. deb townsend /

    what a perfect touch

  89. Rita Cashion /

I would like to see Liberty Jane offer bedding ensemble patterns to match P.J. and gown patterns. I have several doll beds and would like to make nice bed sets for them…as well as matching nighties for the dolls.

  90. I would love to see more business attire as a sewing patterns (blazers and blouses and something like a pencil skirt).

  91. Jan Hooper /

I would love to see liberty Jane offer a poncho and hat set as a sewing pattern for AG dolls. Oh yes….and also a sewing pattern for tights!

  92. Rhiannon /

I would like to see more historical outfits since that’s mainly what I sew. I know it’s a long shot but some patterns for Monstar High dolls would be amazing since very few people make patterns for them. Liberty Jane has done a great job making patterns for other hard to fit dolls.

  93. Terry Knuffke-Tolbert /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more international clothing as sewing patterns! Sure these are American Girl dolls but we are so multi-cultural. I have made the Irish dance dress and the sari from India. How about a folklorico dance dress? A kwanza dress?

  94. sherry mattson /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer a pattern for hiking boots and a daypack. we up here in the north woods spend lots of time hiking and camping.

  95. I second the “kit” idea – I’d love to see Liberty Jane have an option to buy some of the fabric yardage used along with the pattern.

  96. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a pattern to make rag dolls for your dolls!!

  97. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer kits with the pattern. For me who live in rural areas we don’t have the fabric stores available to us. Sometimes ordering fabric online is not like they say it is or it is out of stock

  98. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer kits with some of the fabric you use. Love the Janes would love to win a pair for my grand daughter!!!!

  99. Diane O. /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more crochet/knit patterns. I love the sewing patterns but also enjoy knitting and crocheting. Then I could make a matching item for the doll owner. (My granddaughter)

  105. I’d love to see LJ offer PJ’s as patterns!

  106. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer military style ie: camaflouge uniform as a [sewing pattern or physical product]“ It would be great to honor our military men and women.

  107. Tasha S. /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer a slipper pattern with a few variations. I love the pajama pattern but there was not really slippers to go with it. When I showed my mom your site she wanted there to be an outfit with a poodle skirt so I could make it for her dolls. Also, a couch pattern that is more structured like the bed pattern would be nice (one that looked more like a real couch…if possible.) I am really enjoying making things from your pattern collection!

  108. Sally Hosp /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer more markings on their patterns such as placement lines for bust, waist and hip so adjustments for variation in doll measurements would be easier. Better yet, tell us this pattern, printed correctly to your 1″ scale, sewn with suggested seams will fit a doll with these measurements allowing us to decide if pattern scale needs to be adjusted before pattern pages are printed or fabric wasted resulting in a too small garment.

  109. I”d love to see Liberty Jane offer patterns for Little Darlings.

  110. Tasha S. /

I already commented and then read the other peoples comments. I love the idea for kits or fabric kits. I have a hard time finding cool fabrics, although I have started to be more creative in where I look. It would be nice to buy smaller amounts of interesting fabrics that go well together, possibly even matching notions, in a kit to use for an outfit. A pattern should be optional because we may already have it or we may want to use the fabric for a different outfit.

  111. I would love to see LJC offer more “extra” patterns, like hats, gloves, capes, etc.

  112. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer traditional Renaissance Faire garb.

  113. Darcy Howell /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more shoes that are made for actual people but doll sized as a physical product. Like doll uggs or converse or sperry’s!

  114. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more accessory and shoe patterns!

  115. I would love to see Liberty Jane offer clothing and shoes for the 24″ toddler doll such as the Middleton dolls by Reva Schick as patterns for sewing and knitting or a physical product (anything would be most welcome)

  116. sandra meese /

I would love Liberty Jane to offer a pattern on re-using old sweaters and how to turn them into a sweater for American Girl doll. Part of that could be felting an old wool or how to handle seam on an acrylic sweater. I love to recycle more than just denim and t-shirt clothes.

  117. Valerie Turner /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more accessories, including hats, as a sewing pattern.

  118. Trish S. /

Wow! So many great ideas. I would love for LJC to offer fabric kits with optional patterns (tough to get great fabrics here in NM); more hat patterns of ALL types; Steampunk ANYTHING would be great for AG dolls; and more offerings for Heart4 Heart dolls too. Whew. You’re going to have a busy year if you get to even 1/10 of any of the ideas being posted. Good luck and thanks!!

  119. Rosalind Carey /

This was so hard because Liberty Jane offers almost everything! But I’d like to see Liberty Jane offer trench coats as a sewing pattern

  120. Karen Blackburn /

I would love to see LJ offer a pattern/kit for chemo caps, hospital gowns, etc. Would be great for kids undergoing treatment.

  121. Ashley A. /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer crochet patterns for cardigans, school uniform vests, and sweaters. The ones I’ve seen online have such big stitches/yarn weight that they look more home ec class than realistic miniature. I love how realistic Liberty Jane Patterns are, and think the designers would make just as awesome crochet looks.

  122. Wende B. /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer plain leotards in solid colors along with ballet shoes for sale. Thanks!

  123. Angie L /

  127. Christine /

I would like to see Liberty Jane offer more unique shirt and top patterns.

  128. I would like Liberty Jane to offer a pattern for a tiered denim skirt.

  129. I would love to see Liberty Janes offer a Western Riding outfit pattern.

  130. Chloe L. /

“I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer their limited edition 2013 designs as a sewing pattern.“

  131. I’d like Liberty Jane to offer a bomber jacket pattern. It has already been mentioned but that is the one item I’ve been unable to find. I’ve found western and english riding patterns but the bomber jacket remains elusive.

  132. Military uniform patterns. Fatigues, dress uniforms, hats & boots.

  133. I’d like a baseball cap pattern. Also a winter accessory pack, with leg warmers, scarf variations, boot cuffs, poncho, etc. then later a summer accessory collection…I have tons of ideas:)

  134. Fran Stroud /

I read all the previous comments and agree with some of them. I too would like to see an undergarment pattern. It could combine panties and cami. The one pattern I would like most is a bolero jacket.

  135. We are certainly good at creating a ‘wish list’! I really enjoy the LJ patterns I have – and appreciate their versatility. I, too, have begun shopping for fabric in unique places and have had some success in re-using knit sweaters for doll clothes. I would love more hints/patterns on that topic, although I realize that so much depends upon the type of material you are working with. And, I would REALLY LOVE to find an LJ FLARED SKIRT pattern!!!!!

  136. Lynne Neave /

I would love to see Liberty Jane offer the patterns in 20″ doll sizes so our Australian Girl Dolls can look as gorgeous and stylish as the American Girl Doll.

    • Love the Janes and my complements as I’ve loved all the patterns I’ve used and have no issues…they are awesome…:)

  137. Karen Storey /

I would love Liberty Jane to offer kits including patterns and fabric.

  148. I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer Karito Kid pants as a sewing pattern!

  149. Tamara Shepard /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer more pajama patterns…like a nightgown with several sleeve options and length options. I’d also love to see a pattern for overalls with options to make it into short-alls and a skirt/dress-alls…not sure the technical terms for those! LOL

  150. I would love to win these. My grand daughters favorite thing on earth is her AMG Doll and her second favorite thing is shoes. It would be a wonderful thing for her.

  159. DesignsByDenise /

I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer supplies kits for their patterns as a physical product. It might be hard for some to find the tiny buckles and other objects locally, and who wants to pay huge shipping charges for something that weighs practically nothing?

  160. Granny Sharon /

  191. LJ caught my eye because they were unique and one of the higher end pattern sites. I would like to see Liberty Jane keep that philosophy, concentrate on and offer more patterns like the ones that originally attracted me to their website.

My original attraction was for the LJ, Melody Valerie and several other partner patterns, that are higher end style, quality in design, fit, and contemporary style. Plus, the fact that all patterns are immediately downloadable as a PDF pattern and guidebook. That is why I keep returning and buying almost exclusively from their site.

The eBay auction items that are made into patterns are top notch, exclusive to LJ/Melody Valarie. I hope that addition of all the eBay outfits as patterns and more of these style patterns will become the main focus on Pixie Faire. In addition to the eBay collections , adding only quality, more sophisticated patterns, both single and bundled, in the contemporary styles that young girls would want to wear themselves.

…………… ”Quality, high end, with an intense level of detail, custom patterned outfits , using high quality fabrics and designs that are bold and trendy”………….(mainly for the AG 18” doll) were stated as their original goals but they seem to be moving away from them with the addition of knitting, crocheting and simpler patterns. I think that trying to offer something for everyone would (and is already starting to) take away the exclusivity that has been the LJ trademark. There are some very good quality historic clothing pattern sites, plenty of simpler design pattern sites and knitting and crocheting seem to be an add-on and not relevant to LJ’s original mission statement.

I would love to see more patterns for Bitty Twins, as there are plenty of “baby” patterns available from the major pattern publishers. I’d love to see patterns for slopers for all the dolls featured on your website. And I’d particularly love to see patterns for the various camis and delicates tops you’ve designed as part of your seasonal collections you auction.

EVERYTHING YOU PRODUCE IS SOOOOO ADORABLE. My twin granddaughters would be SO EXCITED to have a pair of these for their dolls. If I win one pair I will buy one pair so they can have the same shoes. I wish I was 7 years old again so I could make these for my dolls. I do many sewn and some knit clothing for their dolls and they love them. Keeps my hands busy. Nancy

“I’d love to see Liberty Jane offer appropriate fabric to make each pattern so I could get the wonderful style and look of the design. I have a difficult time in my area because the market for sewing is limited.

I have some barefoot dolls that need shoes!

    • Patti /

My sisters and I all sew and we just love all the patterns especially Liberty Jane. We have several dolls that we use as models and we collaborate on which prints of materials would look great with which patterns. Unfortunately all our little girls (dolls) are running around barefoot. They sure could use a pair of shoes to share. From my sisters and I and all our little girls, we would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!
