I’m tired of not being able to swim because I don’t want to wear a bathing suit. Unfortunately my bad habits have rubbed off on my children. I will be joining Weight Watchers next week, and we will start living a healthy lifestyle. This is my year!

My goal for 2014 is to: continue encouraging my daughter to hone her sewing skills. This last year (she is 8) she was ready to learn how to sew. Before attacking the sewing machine, she had to learn the parts of the machine, know what they do, safety etc. She also had to sew different shapes, lines etc on paper. She found out that she hates the pinning/laying out part. We started with a simple pillow case, then a pair of pj bottoms and finally a simple jumper. She did great! To get her to complete each item, I told her I would make matching AG clothes. So I made a matching pair of pj bottoms, and 2 doll jumpers with panties for Christmas. I took your shirt pattern and compared it to an readymade one and made a jumper off that. She was thrilled! Having her own library of patterns would be a great jumping off place! I am hoping you come up with more matching clothes for the doll and her, so she can learn how to sew her own doll clothes so mommy can continue with my already stack of projects :-).
